  • Condition: Mat has large dark areas on two of the long sides. The frame and backing have age related wear. The painting itself has a light mark above and slightly to the left of the roadrunners. Please note: the paper is more of a creamy, ecru color than it shows up as in the photos here. I shot these photos under daylight bulbs and it lightened the color of the paper in the photos.

    Description

    Painting of two roadrunners by Kiowa artist C.E. Rowell, dated 7/7/68. This appears to be the original frame for this painting, based on the information on the label on the back of the frame. For that reason, I left the work in the frame as it is.
    Framed, the whole thing measures approximately 16.5" long and 14.5" wide.
    Condition: Mat has large dark areas on two of the long sides.
    The frame and backing have age related wear.
    The painting itself has a light mark above and slightly to the left of the roadrunners. Please note: the paper is more of a creamy, ecru color than it shows up as in the photos here. I shot these photos under daylight bulbs and it lightened the color of the paper in the photos.
