    Lee Roy Joshua a Creek/Seminole painter & print maker, was born in Holdenville, OK in 1937. His cousin was Jerome Tiger. After Jerome’s death in 1967, Joshua was inspired by his mother, Dorthy Tiger Joshua, to continue recording Creek/Seminole culture through art.
    Joshua received awards from many notable shows & institutions. His works were exhibited in numerous Museums. Lee Roy Joshua passed away in 2001.
    This beautiful gouache painting is in excellent vintage condition & has retained its nice bright colors. It is signed in Joshua’s signature style & dated ‘72. It is in the original frame that has a small chip on top. The painting measures approximately 7” x 9”. The frame measures approximately 15 W x 17.5” H x 1/2 D.
