    A strand of ancient neolithic or paleolithic ostrich eggshell heishi beads from Mali, sub Saharan West Africa. The holes appear to be drilled and not pecked. The beads measure in length 1.3 mm to 2 mm and in diameter 5 mm to 10 mm. The length of the strand is 25 inches, 64 cm. The coin in the picture measures 16 mm in diameter. The picture is enlarged to show detail please refer to the measurements for the exact size.
